  • Break property

Pods hold no responsibility to bringing your property back to you the same way they receive it I will never use this company again for anything. The service is no professional at all. We opened our container with broken China cabinet legs completely off and every picture frame in the container that was packed in bubble wrap and heavy towels were broken into pieces. But container was not dropped so please tell me how it happened. Their reason I packed my things wrong how did you know did you open the container no. More...

  • Pods won't deliver my container

I have had my furniture stored in a pod for 2 years since we were relocating but not sure where to. Not once did PODS mention they have unserviceable areas. I called to have my pod delivered to St. John IN and they said they don't deliver there, even though it is listed on their website and only 30 miles from my old location! They were very rude and unprofessional as well, telling me I have to rent a truck and unload the container myself and they will not help me in any way and have no interest in finding any other solution. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this company. More...

  • Customer Service - Exec Mgt Knows Nothing About It

I spent nearly an hour on hold for cust svc to arrange delivery of my PODS from storage. I went through all the delivery planning with the rep and was disconnected at the very end when I thought we were done. A week later I discovered that nothing was scheduled. The cust svc notes stated we were cut-off. We were done! I asked why he didn't call me back, if there was a problem --- it's because their cust svc reps can't call out. He could have sent me an e-mail, but did nothing. I was charged for another month and had to go through scheduling again. Now they say... More...

  • Screwed by PODS

I cannot recommend PODS. Their customer service is friendly and helpful when you start the whole process but ultimately it will be the most expensive choice for moving you could possibly make. I started out confident things would go smoothly with my move, however, the driver arrived 2 hours before their delivery window and I could not be there and due to my apartment complexes regulations I could not have the PODs pod delivered close to my home (it ended up being 1/4 mile away). When I tried to cancel and return the pod, they told my I would be charged for it and the 1st month's... More...

It will be impossible to recommend POD%u2019s to any family, friends or business associates due to the inaccurate quoting, billing and customer service that they provide. The PODS themselves never fit the actual room sizes that they say so you should always expect you to have to add-on to your existing order. We are currently dealing with an issue for our international move regarding inaccurate billing and compounding the issue is nonresponsive and inadequate customer service to address the issues. The all-in quote that I discussed with the representative in great detail was materially... More...

  • pods not delivering on the date they promised.

I am beyond furious with this company at the moment! I will write as many bad reviews as I can until this issue get's fixed which it won't! I scheduled a drop off for tomorrow several weeks ago, "but for some reason they don't have that on file" and are saying they can't deliver it until the 8th which is 8 days later! Yeah right...so am I and my family suppose to sleep on the ground for a week and not have our things!? • Over priced and inconvenient

$180 for monthly storage, the price there alone is bonkers. Finding a drop off time isn't too difficult but the closest pick up date I could get was 10 days later. Not OK in a congested neighborhood. They also don't pro-rate their monthly fee, so I just had to pay full price for a week of storage. Their phone system is extremely frustrating. Pods are an unnecessary headache and not worth the money. Don't make the same mistake I did. More...

  • Bogus late charges from PODS who apparently is living in the 19th century.

So these guys take down a credit card number, put it on file saying you will be charged on X date, but then don't actually charge it, and don't contact you by email either. No, they send snail mail to tell you that they are charging a $20 late fee because they never bothered to actually charge the card I gave them. So, apparently, there is actually NO WAY to have it automatically charge your card on a monthly basis like every other legitimate business out there. No, you have to remember when your bill is due and go log in and pay it every time otherwise you get nicked $20.... More...
  • Most expensive with incredibly bad customer service

Hi, Let me start by saying that a -5 star would be appropriate here. What ever you do, NEVER choose PODS for your move. I paid over $6,000 and I am still stuck in this night mare for months. Worst, every time you call them you have to wait, most times 1:06:15hrs on the phone to talk to somebody, just for her to tell me that she needs to transfer me again (and wait 45min). The service is horrible in every way. 1- Is the most expensive of the offerings 2- Customer service is horrible. 3- Shipping/delivery policies are awful. They put every hurdle they can to not deliver your POD or allow... More...

  • PODS has horrible customer service!

PODS is HORRIBLE! I called PODS to help me with a last-minute move from San Francisco to West Hollywood for for a work relocation. Their sales rep said the only day they could come was the very next day, and they needed my credit card to take a deposit. I needed this to move quickly so I gave the card info. After being charged the deposit, I was told by the sales rep that West Hollywood city ordinance did not allow for PODS to be placed on the street and my only option would be to drive 30 miles to their storage facility to pick up my things (doesn't this defeat the purpose of... • PODS - Terrible Customer Service and Dishonest Billing

I had used PODS last year for renovations and had a great experience working with the local rep in Pittsburgh. When my family was moving this summer, I tried to contact the rep and got no response after multiple calls. I was stuck with calling the corporate number and got TERRIBLE customer service. I called and requested that my POD be picked up on 8/20/14 and was then billed $150 for the time period from 8/22/14 to 9/21/14 even though I was no longer using the POD and it was just sitting and waiting to be picked up for a couple days. • PODS overcharges, refuses refunds

The PODS sales rep convinced me to schedule the POD delivery to a parking lot instead of the street (I thought the parking lot would be too small). When the driver arrived, he could not fit the POD in the parking lot. He could not put it in the street because I had no permit, so I had to reschedule delivery for the next day once I could get a permit. The truck driver said I would not be charged, the customer service rep that rescheduled delivery said that I would not be charged. I was charged $93 dollars. I complained and was told that the charge would be removed. After one month I had... More...

  • PODS is a garbage company

I used this service to move the contents of my apartment from one city to be stored at another when I was in between jobs. The first part went smoothly, but when I just called to schedule delivery to my new apartment, things quickly got ugly. PODS is a franchise company so if you move somewhere between two locations, they will charge you 3-4 times the delivery costs because you have to close one account and open another one. They wanted to charge me $1000 to move 100 miles. Also said "had you called yesterday, you would've saved $200 in monthly charges." I spent 2 hours on... More...

  • PODS Cost me more than I was told!

PODS charged me for delivery on a specific day to my apartment in Boston. Less than 24 hours before it was due to arrive I was told that it'd be late . . . and then I was told it'd be even more late. They said the right way to deal with this was to file a complaint with them, which I did, and that they'd be in touch in couple of weeks to cover my excess expenses. It's been over a month and I haven't heard back. I had to get a last minute hotel and drive and eat out a lot more than expected in Boston at great expense, not to mention the substantial inconvenience... More...

  • I would never use or reccomend this company to ANYONE. Ever.

The summary of my story is that they did not give me adequate information about their delivery practices and I paid 2 years for a POD (I picked the company FOR their pick up and delivery) only to have them pick up but not deliver. It went even further downhill due to the nonexistence of customer service. My case has been ongoing since mid-May. I have a "dedicated customer care specialist" who's communications average every 2 weeks. I call him every day to no response. It went even FURTHER downhill when he offered me monetary compensation OR the option to wait a few more... More...

  • wrong placement, poor customer phone service, and overbilled

I own an office that is rented out and damaged due to broken frozen sprinkler system. My property manager ordered a cleaning company for the damage. The cleaning company ordered a POD for some of the office furnishings to be stored in during the renovation. This is when the PROBLEMS began. First - the POD was placed three offices down in front of a Dentist when there was plenty of room in the back (a more appropriate place). They do this for a living and should know that. Second - I could never talk to a helpful person about the situation because it was in cleaning company's name. It... More...

  • Another Crappy Experience

Well, I will chime in with my two cents even though it is no different than everyone else's horror story. In short, I will not be using PODS ever again nor will I EVER suggest that anyone use them. The rep lied to me about their insurance, and they damaged my big screen (55") TV. It appears to have possibly bounced during their transportation of my goods from across the country. Their insurance only covers acts of God in the event that THEIR pod is damaged. In short you are insuring their stuff and they have no care about yours. I filed a claim for $1,400 only to have it... More...

  • PODS not ready for winter

If PODS is going to operate in the Midwest - where from time to time we have winter - then they need to outfit their trucks to move over a little snow. They carry no sand, no salt, no chains, nothing more than a couple 2 ft long plywood planks and that's it? Come on. So now I've got this 12ft box stuck in my driveway until spring? • PODS - Horrible Service and Unethical Business Standards

DON'T USED PODS!!!!! I was extremely disappointed by the quality of service by this company. I had a professional company pack the POD, so we started out with everything organized and neatly packed. Well, when I had the unit delivered it was a disaster! I had many broken items, chipped furniture, the POD was filled with all different kinds of ants (which I am still trying to get rid of), everything was dirty, and worst of all water got in the unit and ruined some of my hardwood furniture that was very special to me. • The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!! THEY CHARGED US $200 FOR NOTHING!!! We scheduled a POD back in October for an out of state move. The move got postposed, but when we called PODS to cancel they convinced my wife not to cancel saying that it takes a long time to quote a new order and that they could not guarantee the same price if she canceled, but instead to move the date out a few months stating that we could cancel at anytime after that (I am now convinced that this is a regular tactic used to bilk money out of unsuspecting customers). I had to call again, by then we had been charged for the next month, AND for the pick-up fee even though my second call I was assured I would not be charged for the pick-up, that it would be taken out of the monthly rent charged in error and I would see a credit for the balance due. Pods simply by the nature of its twisting and shifting every time it is picked up or moved damages furniture. Depending on location, your contents will be exposed to extreme heat or cold. • PODS fails on nearly every score. Worst moving experience ever.

First, the company got the order wrong and I had to call them back to get the right size container, a smaller one. The difference from the quote and the bill was around $1,000.00, no small error. when I called to get that fixed, I was told the mistake would be corrected in 24 hours. It was not. I had to call back only to be told that mistakes like that take 72 hours. Meantime, I'm wondering if I've made a big mistake. I moved across the country from SD to FL, using PODS. The pickup experience was fine. The night before I arrived in FL I did not get a call with my estimated drop off timeframe, nor could I get a hold of anyone because it was a Sunday. It arrived late Monday afternoon, and the driver tore up my driveway with the machine they use to unload it.
