  • Customer Service - Exec Mgt Knows Nothing About It



    I spent nearly an hour on hold for cust svc to arrange delivery of my PODS from storage. I went through all the delivery planning with the rep and was disconnected at the very end when I thought we were done. A week later I discovered that nothing was scheduled.     I cannot recommend PODS. Their customer service is friendly and helpful when you start the whole process but ultimately it will be the most expensive choice for moving you could possibly make. I started out confident things would go smoothly with my move, however, the driver arrived 2 hours before their delivery window and I could not be there and due to my apartment complexes regulations I could not have the PODs pod delivered close to my home (it ended up being 1/4 mile away).     It will be impossible to recommend POD%u2019s to any family, friends or business associates due to the inaccurate quoting, billing and customer service that they provide. The PODS themselves never fit the actual room sizes that they say so you should always expect you to have to add-on to your existing order.     I am beyond furious with this company at the moment! I will write as many bad reviews as I can until this issue get's fixed which it won't! I scheduled a drop off for tomorrow several weeks ago, "but for some reason they don't have that on file" and are saying they can't deliver it until the 8th which is 8 days later!   • Over priced and inconvenient



    $180 for monthly storage, the price there alone is bonkers. Finding a drop off time isn't too difficult but the closest pick up date I could get was 10 days later. Not OK in a congested neighborhood. They also don't pro-rate their monthly fee, so I just had to pay full price for a week of storage. Their phone system is extremely frustrating.   • Bogus late charges from PODS who apparently is living in the 19th century.



    So these guys take down a credit card number, put it on file saying you will be charged on X date, but then don't actually charge it, and don't contact you by email either. No, they send snail mail to tell you that they are charging a $20 late fee because they never bothered to actually charge the card I gave them. So, apparently, there is actually NO WAY to have it automatically charge your card on a monthly basis like every other legitimate business out there.   • Most expensive with incredibly bad customer service



    Hi, Let me start by saying that a -5 star would be appropriate here. What ever you do, NEVER choose PODS for your move. I paid over $6,000 and I am still stuck in this night mare for months. Worst, every time you call them you have to wait, most times 1:06:15hrs on the phone to talk to somebody, just for her to tell me that she needs to transfer me again (and wait 45min).     PODS is HORRIBLE! I called PODS to help me with a last-minute move from San Francisco to West Hollywood for for a work relocation. Their sales rep said the only day they could come was the very next day, and they needed my credit card to take a deposit. I needed this to move quickly so I gave the card info.   • PODS - Terrible Customer Service and Dishonest Billing



    I had used PODS last year for renovations and had a great experience working with the local rep in Pittsburgh. When my family was moving this summer, I tried to contact the rep and got no response after multiple calls. I was stuck with calling the corporate number and got TERRIBLE customer service.   • PODS overcharges, refuses refunds



    The PODS sales rep convinced me to schedule the POD delivery to a parking lot instead of the street (I thought the parking lot would be too small). When the driver arrived, he could not fit the POD in the parking lot. He could not put it in the street because I had no permit, so I had to reschedule delivery for the next day once I could get a permit.   • PODS is a garbage company



    I used this service to move the contents of my apartment from one city to be stored at another when I was in between jobs. The first part went smoothly, but when I just called to schedule delivery to my new apartment, things quickly got ugly. PODS is a franchise company so if you move somewhere between two locations, they will charge you 3-4 times the delivery costs because you have to close one account and open another one.   • PODS Cost me more than I was told!



    PODS charged me for delivery on a specific day to my apartment in Boston. Less than 24 hours before it was due to arrive I was told that it'd be late . . . and then I was told it'd be even more late.   • I would never use or reccomend this company to ANYONE. Ever.



    The summary of my story is that they did not give me adequate information about their delivery practices and I paid 2 years for a POD (I picked the company FOR their pick up and delivery) only to have them pick up but not deliver.   • wrong placement, poor customer phone service, and overbilled



    I own an office that is rented out and damaged due to broken frozen sprinkler system. My property manager ordered a cleaning company for the damage. The cleaning company ordered a POD for some of the office furnishings to be stored in during the renovation. This is when the PROBLEMS began.   • Another Crappy Experience



    Well, I will chime in with my two cents even though it is no different than everyone else's horror story. In short, I will not be using PODS ever again nor will I EVER suggest that anyone use them. The rep lied to me about their insurance, and they damaged my big screen (55") TV.     I ordered a POD container. Had a couple giant trees demolish my roof. Promised the unit to be delivered tomorrow, April 2, 2014. The sales people are very accommodating.     If PODS is going to operate in the Midwest - where from time to time we have winter - then they need to outfit their trucks to move over a little snow.     We initially ordered the Pod and it was delivered to our neighbors. It took the entire day for them to return and deliver it to our house. When I called to have them come pick it up, I was told it would take 4 days but I would not be charged for the next month. No one came to pick it up.   • Pods damages furniture



    Pods simply by the nature of its twisting and shifting every time it is picked up or moved damages furniture. Depending on location, your contents will be exposed to extreme heat or cold. Specifically heat (white marks) on furniture finish. The pods insurance policy they sell you only covers contents when the exterior of pod is damaged.     The service would have been ok if the last driver didn't manage to take out the telephone lines leading to our house. We had 2 PODS delivered & taken away and the first 3 drivers were fine. The last one went over our lawn and took out our telephone lines! Also they recommended Pack & Load for the packing service who were absolutely TERRIBLE.   • PODS fails on nearly every score. Worst moving experience ever.



    First, the company got the order wrong and I had to call them back to get the right size container, a smaller one. The difference from the quote and the bill was around $1,000.00, no small error. when I called to get that fixed, I was told the mistake would be corrected in 24 hours. It was not.     I moved across the country from SD to FL, using PODS. The pickup experience was fine. The night before I arrived in FL I did not get a call with my estimated drop off timeframe, nor could I get a hold of anyone because it was a Sunday. I paid $199 tax for one month, which would have been 6/29/2013, and an additional fee for a month of storage since I wouldn't be settling on the new house for a while.   • PODS damaged my Pod unit when transporting it causing major damage to my stuff!



    This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. PODS delivered my unit to me with a huge gash in the side that looks like a fork lift rammed it. The delivery driver said it was done at the warehouse but wasn't sure how it was done or when it was done. He said that his boss was aware of it and that they would take care of any damage to my items if there was any.     Over the course of a couple of weeks I got several quotes from PODs for an upcoming cross country move and decided on one of their smallest units. Our pickup and delivery with PODS were fine, however, when we opened our unit, we discovered that the roof had been damaged (there was a large gash in it - that looked like PODS had tried to repair it, not that they bothered to tell us that) and much of our stored furniture had been ruined or damaged due to rain.     The first time I called pods I received some bad information from the person I spoke with. She drastically misinformed me about the cost of moving from Baltimore, MD to Germantown, MD. (I was told it would cost about $300-$400 to deliver to pod, store my stuff for 2 months, and redliver to my new home.     I have paid pods to store a container for over a year. When you ask to move a unit they automatically charge you an additional storage fee of $249 no matter if you are already paid up for the montly fee. When our pod arrived we had mice in our leather furniture and boxes. We sprayed the unit and left D-con in it when we loaded the unit. You cannot keep mice out. However after paying 2 months of the service we decided about 5 days into the new month to get our stuff out and were asked to pay the full whole other month- it annoyed us to no end- we're not some well off family after all, but even that we could live with.     I scheduled to have a POD delivered to my house for a local move (20 minutes). The drop off and pick up of the POD was fantastic. I later received a phone call from the driver stating that he couldn't 'swing' the POD into the driveway that concrete trucks have in the recent past been driving in and out of. They did not disclose that they would require EXTRA MONEY to deliver it from Chandler, AZ to Tucson, AZ. They also told me that they would deliver in a weeks time.     Using PODS to move from fort Sam Houston to WA was a fiasco from the start! I didn't have a definitive address, so I was assured that it was no biggie, SHE chose the zip code which was more costly, but I was assured I would get that back. So we ordered the conteiner, packed it, got it ready for the move only to find out that they cannot take it due to inside policies!!!
